Mate, the last leg curse is absolutely real and I’ve lived it more times than I care to admit. Had a five-fold going into a Sunday afternoon kick-off last month over on Mystake, four teams had already done the business beautifully. Then my final team conceded in the 89th minute. Gutted doesn’t cover it tbh. These days I cap my accas at four legs maximum and always set aside a separate pot specifically for them, keeps the damage manageable when it inevitably goes sideways.
